Single Cup Coffee Maker – is one really enough?
If you read all the hype on the internet about coffee makers, you see many people saying that the single cup coffee maker is just too small. You can’t really brew coffee quick enough for when you have guests over.
In fact most of this I believe is written by those without a coffee maker or they are just trying to mislead you and encourage you into purchasing a more expensive semi commercial machine.
The main argument is that single cup coffee makers can only produce coffee at a slow pace. This may be true for some coffee makers, but the Keurig B60 for example will produce a coffee within 10 seconds – which is quick.
But the argument remains – what if you have 50 people over, what about just 20?
Sure if you’re having a large party then a single cup coffee maker will not do the job. But neither will a commercial machine. How many times have you been to a cafĂ©, only to wait for 10 minutes or more for your coffee to arrive?
And these are trained professionals!
But the majority of people buy a coffee machine for personal use, to brew that cup when you need it in the morning, or a nice cup as you watch TV. Friends come over for dinner and you can still produce 6 cups all nice and hot how people like it.
In fact, when my friends come over, you always get those wanting tea, some want coffee and most times if you give them a choice they will all want a different type of coffee too.
The beauty of the Keurig coffee makers is that they use K cups which come in a huge variety. You don’t need to open them, deal with messy beans or ground coffee, just insert and press the button.
Out comes your coffee in under 10 seconds, the way you like it. For a party of 6 you can get 6 cups of coffee or tea out to the table in less than 2 minutes – faster than 99% of all cafes.
So to answer the question …
Is one single cup coffee maker really – sure is and most times more than enough.
So go ahead, purchase one now, enjoy great coffee, great friends and good laughs.
