But have you ever wonder how your favourite cup of coffee is made? Now, let me take you to the process of brewing coffee with the use of coffee machines.
Drip coffee maker is the most common type of coffee machines which is used to produce your favourite drink. It has five parts that features different uses to process brewed coffee. Such basic parts are the water reservoir, drip area, coffee grounds holder, coffee kettle, and hot plate.
Bet before switching the unit to brew, one must check the amount of water to be used since the amount of water will have a great influence on the flavour of the brewed coffee. It is highly recommended for a person to initially check the appropriate water measurement on the reservoir so he can be guided in pouring the water. It is because the lesser amount of water used can make the coffee stronger while having too much water will only make it tasteless as the coffee grounds will be diluted with much water.
Upon filling the reservoir with just the right amount of water, it is then heated, just below the boiling rate, by a coil that gives out heat when passed through by electricity. The hot water passed through a tube then transports it to the drip area. This area eventually drip the heated water on the grounds held by a coffee grounds holder. After the heated water soaked and brewed the coffee grounds, it drips down to the coffee kettle.
Then, the brewed coffee drips from the bottom of the grounds holder to the coffee kettle. This container is usually made by glass allowing you to check the amount of coffee you have produced and at the same time, let you monitor if you’re running our of brewed coffee.
Under the coffee kettle is a hot plate. This part supports the pot and at the same time, keeps the coffee warm for more than an hour. Moreover, it warms the cold water in the reservoir to be used in brewing.
Today’s coffee machines made brewing coffee easier as all you have to do is turn the switch on and the unit will do the rest. Other features such as built-in coffee grinder and froth maker, you can make more types of coffee.
